Smiley from the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration

As per May 1^st 2008 it is mandatory that all Danish food companies on their website display the four latest control reports received from the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration.

Retail companies are not awarded smileys, but are given the characters 1-4 in the control report, corresponding to the four smileys. Additionally the company can be granted elite status, corresponding to the elite smiley, if the company solely has received the character 1 in the four latest control reports (within the last 12 months).
